𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩!

 

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.  𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨.

My experience was definitely “the slow burn”.  And it lasted for years.

I had gotten so good at avoiding what was really going on,  that not only had I fooled my friends, colleagues and family…I had fooled myself.

And why was I such a master at this?  Because I had practiced it for so damn long.

In the beginning I wasn’t necessarily COMMITTED to change.  I think I would describe it more as a feeling of desperation.

And as time went on my desire to change became stronger and so did my commitment.

But there is one piece that is a very important part of this equation.
